Robert
Glassen
With three decades of experience in management
and business development with technical expertise in project
management, hazardous materials management, risk assessment, and
applied environmental science, Bob’s specialty is leading and
managing BD teams in technical services firms.
Bob’s diverse career began on the public side,
serving on the Florida House of Representatives Staff, House Natural
Resources Committee in Tallahassee. In the private sector, he held
several positions with Dames & Moore including
Managing-Principal-In-Charge, Regional Sales Manager and Project
Geologist. In addition, Bob served at the vice-president level for
both Ogden Environmental and Energy Services in Oak Ridge,
Tennessee, and Steffen Robertson and Kirsten, Inc. in Denver,
Colorado. Also in Denver, he served as General Manager of Grant
Environmental. Later, while at SCIENTECH Inc., he led multiple
successful projects, and most recently, Bob was responsible for
sales of security services to water, wastewater, hydroelectric, and
gas utilities. As a contractor from SCIENTECH, Bob served as Vice
President of Sales and Marketing with Ontario Power Technologies/Kinectrics,
formerly the research technology development arm of Ontario Hydro,
in Toronto. In this capacity, he was charged with leading Kinectrics’
400 scientists and engineers, former government employees, and
transforming them into thriving revenue sources.
With a B.A. from Villanova University, Bob earned his
M.S. in Environmental Science from the University of Virginia,
and completed post graduate work in Geology at Florida State
University. In addition, he served as a Marine officer in Vietnam.
His certifications include: Registered Geologist, North Carolina
#1457; Professional Geologist, South Carolina #2083; Professional
Geologist, Florida #0623; Professional Geologist, Kentucky #2122;
and Licensed Geologist, Missouri #RG0879.
Bob utilizes his
formidable expertise in business development and management to
assist technical firms in leveraging their intellectual capital and
problem solving capabilities to produce additional and new revenue.
