Over three decades experience in business management, business development and management consulting. Nic’s career spans 3 continents and a wide variety of different revenue growth focused roles.

I have a passion working with small to middle market organizations to overcome specific inflection points. These could be needing to develop additional revenues beyond what the founders can contribute, graduating from protected status or growing beyond the comfort and knowledge of the current leadership.

With Khula Consulting, Nic focuses on individuals and companies who need to improve or accelerate their growth. He assists organization clearly define vision, mission and goals, tailors Business Development lifecycle processes, assesses BD Personnel and Leaders, creates and delivers training programs to improve the quality and quantity of HUMan INTelligence gathered in the BD and Capture Processes to improve Win rates through improved opportunity qualification and shaping.

As President of MBDi, Nic partnered with many of the top 100 Government Services organizations. He assisted these companies in the assessment, development and execution of BD transformation or growth strategies. He has led the assessment of domestic and foreign BD operations to ensure M&A integration was effective. Nic partners with MBDi as a subject matter expert delivering professional development and training programs.

Early career roles. Started, grew and sold an IT services company. Restructured a Full Service Advertising Agency. Held a variety of Operational roles with Republic National Bank of New York(HSBC), ABSA Bank and KLF Productions, an Event Management Company, with clients that included Reebok, Mercedes Benz, Coca-Cola, Adidas, Budweiser, SAB-Miller and managed Nelson Mandela’s birthday celebrations.

A native of Pietermaritzburg, South Africa, Nic holds a BSocSc from the University of Natal and an MBA from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh Business School.
